Kangoo Z.E. and ZOE to join the DHL Express France fleet by 2015

October 10, 2012
  • Renault will supply DHL France with a fleet of electric vehicles by 2015. A total 50 vehicles have already been confirmed. The first four which are Kangoo Z.E., will be delivered by the end of 2012.
  • Renault already chose DHL in 2011 to manage the logistics of battery shipments to all Z.E. centres and expert sites across France. The new partnership signed today strengthens the cooperation between Renault and DHL in the development of electric vehicles in France.

DHL, the global leader in transport and logistics, chose Renault to help it develop the use of electric vehicles as part of its activities. DHL has already confirmed an order of 50 vehicles, comprising both Kangoo Z.E. and ZOE, to be delivered between now and 2015. Additional orders will depend on the different potential needs.

François Guionnet, director of Renault Parc Entreprises said: “Renault is particularly proud to take part in this key stage of DHL’s GoGreen Program, which aims to reduce the carbon emissions of DHL by 30% by 2020.

About Renault

The Renault group, present in 118 countries, designs, develops, manufactures and sells passenger cars and light commercial vehicles under the Renault, Dacia and Renault Samsung Motors brands. To meet the new challenges facing the automotive industry, both environmental and economic, Renault is implementing a two-pronged strategy: improvements to existing technologies with new generations of carbon-efficient engines, and the breakthrough “Zero Emission” programme. Renault launched a zero-emission range in 2011 with Fluence ZE and Kangoo ZE, followed in 2012 by Twizy, an innovative urban quadricyle, and ZOE, which arrives on the market this autumn. This range makes innovation affordable to the greatest number. With its partner Nissan, Renault is targeting world leadership in the mass marketing of zero-emission vehicles.
